The Hospital

The Leading Animal Emergency Hospital in North Pinellas County for Over 20 Years

Animal Emergency and Urgent care has been there for the pet owners and primary care veterinarians in the North Pinellas area for more than 20 years.

Animal Emergency is open 7 days a week, including holidays, during the hours of which a primary care veterinarian is typically closed. Pet owners trust Animal Emergency and Urgent Care with the lives of their most precious furry friends.
The after-hours veterinary center provides emergency care, surgery, intensive care, intravenous therapy, radiology services, laboratory services, pharmacy and overnight hospitalization for your pet when you can’t visit your regular veterinarian. Have a pet emergency on Christmas Eve? No problem. Animal Emergency will be there.

The experienced veterinarians and technicians at animal emergency can help pet owners with emergencies for nearly any kind of pet.  We treat most pets including:

  • Dogs
  • Cats
  • Reptiles
  • Rabbits
  • Birds
  • Hamsters
  • Gerbils
  • Ferrets
  • Other small pets

Animal Emergency is always staffed with experienced doctors who have close to 20 years of experience on average.  Interns or newly licensed practitioners are not part of the staff. The technicians at Animal Emergency are experienced and well trained. When you bring your furry family member to Animal Emergency to be treated, you can be sure that he is in good hands.

The Animal Emergency Center is equipped with all of the latest technology and equipment, available at the doctor’s fingertips to make sure your pet gets the best care possible. Clinical laboratory services are on site so that you don’t have to wait for a lab to open in the morning to find out what may be wrong with man’s best friend.

Animal Emergency also provides a fully stocked pharmacy so medications can be given out when they are needed, not when your primary veterinarian’s office opens back up.

It is hard to see your pet sick or injured but whatever your emergency, the experienced staff at Animal Emergency and Urgent Care can help you and your pet get through it.
